Typically, I love the change of seasons and enjoy living where we get that. Well, I have certainly had enough of this winter season! 2017 has brought so much snow and we are expecting up to another foot…ugh!
Well, maybe that means I should take the time to post some highlights of the year so far. Am I very disorganized, too diversified, or what? I just don’t seem to get around to blogging for the last several months.
January brought a trip I really wanted and needed…back to the Midwest to see my family! It was touch and go…missing several flights, which meant missing a family wedding (insert sad face and happy picture)…
(the wedding we missed…beautiful love!)
but I was finally on the first flight out after several times rescheduling and got to Kansas City. What a pleasure to see my kids and grands…it had been too long since I was back!
“Absence makes the heart grow fonder” as they say, so it was good to just spend time together…no need for special events. However, grandson #1 turned 13!; basketball tournament; got to catch up with an Aunt and Uncle I had not seen for even more years; granddaughter #2 kept me in stitches; granddaughter #1 got to introduce me to her new apartment and her beau and the grandcat; short, but sweet, stop to see nieces and SIL; love and hugs with my son and daughter and DIL…all the things I needed!
We also took a drive around my childhood neighborhood. This is where I grew up…
And, likewise, it was good to get back home to the hubby! Now, it feel like life can go on as usual!
My passions and pastimes seem to carry over from last year…spirituality and quilting. I was attuned to Reiki energy last fall and have been using that for self-care and with those I am close to. Quilting, or some form part of it, has become an almost daily passion.
(unless otherwise noted, snapshots belong to Valorie Webster)
The year seems to be off to a good start for me and I hope for you, as well. Enjoy February, the month of love…we can sure use more of that!

Glad you had a good family reunion after the wedding at least. I haven’t been writing as many new blogs as I intended but want to keep trying and catch up with the super bloggers like you. Happy New Year! Late.

Hello! I have not been reading blogs or blogging as much lately but trying to get back to it. So many things I get my fingers in that the days just are not long enough! Thanks for the comment and be IN-joy, whatever you are up to!

I too have the same problem. Not enough hours in a day to get things done. Will do!

Awesome report from my awesome sister…for anyone who doesn’t know, I’m the oldest in that “happy picture” of the family wedding she didn’t make it to! You were there in our hearts, sweet sister, and thank you for trying!!!
